Senate Bill 402, introduced by state Senator Joe Negron (R-28) was heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday, April 4 and PASSED by a 5 to 2 vote. Senate Bill 432, introduced by state Senator Greg Evers (R-2), was ALSO scheduled to be heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday, April 4. Unfortunately, the committee got bogged down in other controversial bills and SB 432 was not heard. IT WILL BE RESCHEDULED. We will notify you when it is rescheduled. House Bill 155, sponsored by state Representative Jason Brodeur (R-33) was heard in the House Health & Human Services Committee today and PASSED by a 13 to 2 vote with two members absent.
