Reporters want to sell newspapers. Reporters want people to listen when they broadcast on T.V. The way to do that is to blame an assault weapon for every crime and shooting that happens.
If someone is going to rob a store or bank the last thing they are going to do is haul a big heavy "assault weapon" into the place.
That major shootout in L.A. with the full auto assault weapons sure didn't shine any bright lites on our weapons. But every shooting in this country seems to be with an assault weapon.
Oh sorry. Here it is 4 days later on page 12. It was a B.B. gun. WTF.
