South Dakota: Huge Jump in Right-to-Carry permits

More and more people across the country, the state and the county are getting permits to carry handguns.There were 2,008 conceal and carry permits issued in Minnehaha County in all of 2008. There have already been 1,548 in 2009. The state of South Dakota issued 14,628 permits in 2008, and it's already hit 11,057 in 2009.

Used to be a CCW here exempted the holder from a 3-day wait on handgun purchase. The law has been changed, now no one need wait.
