South Dakota: Right-to-Carry Reform Passes Senate Committee Unanimously
Today, the South Dakota Senate State Affairs Committee voted unanimously to pass Senate Bill 166. This bill, introduced by Senator Larry Rhoden (R-29) and Representative Gary Cammack (R-29), would make improvements for South Dakota residents who carry a concealed firearm for self-defense by extending the validity of the state’s Permit to Carry a Concealed Pistol from four to five years. SB 166 is now eligible for a final vote in the state Senate.
