The City Council on Tuesday approved two pieces of legislation aimed at shooting down gun laws recently approved in Nashville.The council passed on first reading an ordinance banning firearms in city parks and also approved a resolution encouraging restaurant and bar owners to post signs banning firearms in their businesses. The vote on the resolution is final, but the parks ordinance still has to be approved two more times.
