Texas: Worker protection bill heads to Governor
 

The measure -- approved by the Senate Friday -- would allow employees to keep their guns locked in their cars even in company parking lots where the employer might have banned guns.Under current law, anyone that can legally possess a weapon may carry it in their vehicle but may be prohibited from bringing it onto private property where the company chooses to ban firearms.
