Senate Bill 81 will now be taken up by the House Criminal Justice Committee in the near future. While its companion bill, House Bill 556, will be considered by Senate Judiciary Committee B. These bills would not affect the possession on school property but would only allow permit holders to continue to exercise their right on public property not controlled directly by the school.
