On Monday, January 31, the House Courts of Justice Committee passed House Bill 1573 by a 16 to 5 margin and House Bill 1422 by a 22 to 0 margin. Both bills are expected be considered by the full House of Delegates this week. Also yesterday, the Virginia Senate passed Senate Bill 757 by a 25 to 14 vote, while Senate Bill 1213 passed unanimously with a 40 to 0 vote. Both bills will now be delivered to the House of Delegates and referred to committee.
