On Thursday, September 20 at 7:00 PM, the Goochland County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to discuss an application for a sporting clays range at the Orapax Hunting Preserve. Unfortunately, the Orapax Hunting Preserve is facing opposition from neighboring landowners who claim this range would decrease their quality of life and property values. This is despite the fact that the sporting clays range will be positioned on nearly a 700-acre hunting preserve—a mile away from the closest neighbor.
