Whitewashing vote fraud
Monday`s 6-3 Supreme Court decision upholding Indiana`s voter-identification law has unhinged Democrats and their allies on the political left. Within hours of the ruling, the ACLU was wringing its hands about the judgment of the court that requires someone to produce photo identification in order to vote was not unconstitutional. Sen. Charles Schumer, New York Democrat, complained that it was "a body blow to what America stands for -- equal access to the polls." But a careful reading of the opinions of the six justices who voted to uphold the Indiana law shows this assertion to be nonsense.

An outfit in Washington state,'ACORN',had 5 members sent to jail for voter fraud-they submitted over 1500 voter registration that were completely made up.They sat around together and made up names,SS numbers, and addresses. One member said he sat home, got stoned, and filled out the forms. This is only one instance where these groups have been caught.Acorn claims to set a goal of one million new voter registrations this year.Such fraud deprives you of your vote,an imaginary person canceling the vote of a real citizen. It is about time this crap is stopped.I am certainly not in favor of a national ID,but a picture ID to vote is not too much to ask. ---bil

I must agree, what is the problem with verifying a persons identity to make sure that the right person is casting a ballot?

The US government won't let you on a plane without picture id -- are the elections less important than a ride?
Or were the politicos taking us for one?

Liquor stores require an ID to show proof of age before a purchase. Voting is surely more important than buying a six pack of beer........at least to most of us.
Chuck the Schmuck is just concerned about all those fraudulent votes by illegal aliens and dead people his party is going to lose out on.

Hard to vote
My grandfather has voted Democrate since 1952. This will make it hard for him to Vote. Once in the county he was born in, once in the county he lived
in and once in the county we buried him in, in 1951. Good Republican up till then.

Comedy sketch idea: TV reporter doing an "on the scene report" during the election, camera tight on her face: "The Mayor's race here in Chicago has been unusually close this year, Mayor Daly is running about even with the Republican challenger. Voting at this precinct has been very light so far, but is expected to pick up if the Mayor doesn't pull ahead by a wide margin." The shot opens up to reveal the reporter is standing in front of the Cook County Morgue.
On a more serious note, being from Indiana, hooray for SCOTUS! Back when they first passed the law, Rep Julia Carson (she made every other Dem look conservative) made a big photo op for the Indy TV stations as she tried to use her non-photo ID to vote. She of course had a valid drivers license in her purse and could have used it, but made a show of how people were being refused. OTOH, she seemed to be about the only one as there were practically no problems other than her.
