Got in an argument with a female ATF agent over this. Damn I love to argue. I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken. We actually became friends.
Florida has an "unoffical" two step law. If there is such a thing. In Florida you can carry a weapon legally without a permit. If it takes two steps to get at. In other words you can have it in a holster snapped under your seat or in the glove compartment. As long as it takes two steps to get at the cops won't bother you.
As I have a CCW for Florida. What I do if stopped is show the Law Enforcement Officers my hands and tell them I have a weapon in my vehicle.
They always thank me for doing that.
What needs to happen with these stupid Mother Fu#$%Kers who don't want your girlfriend, wife or yourself, to not have a weapon in your car.
Do like they are doing to us.
