Tomorrow at noon, the state Senate is scheduled to consider Senate Bill 93, the Personal Protection Act (PPA). This critical self-defense legislation continues to move through the legislative process but not without the continued threat of hostile amendments trying to weaken or destroy the bill. State Senator Van Wanggaard (R-21) is offering an amendment to alter the current training mandate of the bill, in favor of a one-size-fits-all system, which would lead to a number of issues for law-abiding gun owners once they begin the permit process.
