Default saiga 308 trigger ??

anyone out there know of a trigger conversion for the saiga 308?? i read somewhere that you could cut, move, re weld the trigger assembly and use a 7.62x39 trigger group. any one know of this or anything else that will help??

There is no welding required unless you want to fill the holes in the receiver after you remove the plate. I just finished one, and the stock Tapco single hook needs to be ground some to fit and work properly, but it's not hard to figure out where once you install it and see the problem areas.

the tromix trigger group dropped right in, with the trigger guard moved up, mag relase bracket ground down, and the safety clearenced and material welded to it. its all good now. now im waiting on my new pistol grips to come in. then its time to go to the range and rapid fire that bish!!!

Welding could be required to allow the Saiga 308 safety to function with a stock Tapco trigger group. Dinzagarms.com sells one already modified. As an alternative, the Saiga safety could be replaced with a standard AK safety.
