Desired Production Projects
I would like to see two of the following projects go into production:
1. AK47 Sniper 7.62x39 Season Two Episode Two 2. AR DI monolithic 7.62x51 NATO Both within a price point sub $2500. |
Not too sure about the AK sniper rifle in 7.62X39. Especially when the common name for the 7.62X39 rd is "The Rainbow Round". Why? Because it drops like a stone past 300 yds due to the reduced powder charge. I do believe that's why sniper rds in 7.62 are usually X51 or X54 rather than X39. Just sayin........

i think a sniper round is what ever the sniper discides on what to bring to the party. mountains like here in southern w.v. is ideal for 30-30 or 7.62x39. 30 cal is ok for deserts or rice paddies but here is ideal. would be nice to see a sks or something taken to the max for a change.

I have done heavy barreled 7.62x39 AKs for years. I have one with a 308 bore x39 with a match barrel that will shot under a half inch group at 100 yards. if you know the exact range it will do fine way out but you better know the range. I have take prairie dogs out past 500 yards but you better know the range an scope. at 300 yards with the scope dialed in it will do as well as many good 308,s but th wind needs to be nill. 150 grainers do very well but again know the range.

i am a 7.62x39 nut shooting out of a yugo sks. i have called sierra and ask if they were ever going to make a matchking 135-140 in.311 but they said no. i wonder if they know how many aks and skss are out there trying for accuratcy out pass 500 yards. now i know it probably wouldnt drop a bear but maybe a deer or just precision shooting.
