Hello fellas,
I am a LEO Firearms Instructor from NJ. I was wondering if you guys can make Jersey legal AR/AK's?
Keep up the great work. Be safe.

As a law enforcement officer. He may have special off duty permits for weaponry.
You think Komifornia is bad.
You aint seen nothin till you check the rules on weapons over that whole liberal A.O..
Connecticut, Mass, Joisy, N.Y.. Crime is going through the roof. NO assault weapons.
Whatever the hell an assault weapon is?
Do not go in the inner cities at night. Only the criminals are armed.

I believe to be NJ legal it has to be converted into a single shot and fire a cork on a string.
IIRC, the "bad" things for a semi-auto rifle in NJ are similar to the expired Fed AW ban:
1. pistol grips
2. ability to accept mags over 15rds
3. flash supressor (threads?)
4. folding stock
5. bayonet mount
You can have any two but three make it verboten.
Going from memory, they might have changed things and banned the corks too!
Jersey is soo bad. Even as LEO we cant have anything "special". Only duty weapons/rifles/shotguns are exempt from laws.
NO CLUE what "Jersey Leagel" could be, I just know I feel sorry for you!!!! I love Vermont!!!! Born and raised.
Damn, now I feel even more sorry for you, not being closer to retirement! I got forceibly retired at 57 after a fall in 06. As far as the Jersey laws go I'd go stright to the ATF site and the'll have all the statues there. Lots of reading, but for the most part you'll be able to figure it out. If not you can call, I've had good luck getting questions ansewered by them.
Ahh dont worry about it. I started at 23 so I'll be 48 when I retire. I just looked at RJF to build them cause no one in Jersey does custom stuff. Its BM or Oly for NJ compliant ARs. I thought I would throw some money to them if they could do it.
Jersey pays well thats all it has going for it now.
