It started out as a Saiga .308. I don't think they said what it was but you can tell by the magazine and when they are chambering the barrel.

Thanks, I thought the mag looked like a 308. I missed the barrel chambering part.

I like the show but the "First ever ak sniper rifle ever completed" was BS There are multiple build threads here based on that concept

Has anyone done a bull barreled ak with a reworked gas system and a custom trigger that isnt a RSA trigger? I haven't seen one around. I don't know if anyone has done anything like this customized but I would think this is the first.

1biggun on here has done his own triggers & barrels, not sure about bull barrel though, he has a thread or two and also put a lot of info in another thread.

While the AK trigger system is rugged to the extreme, what is needed for max accuracy is something like the "drop in" trigger mechanisms for ARs and 10/22s that simply use the OEM FCG area and pins to contain a unitized assembly of a totally different design. Probably not enough demand to justify design and tooling up, but it would be neat to play with.
