What does the rear of the barrel measure where it enters the trunnion? I ask because it will determine whether an akm or an ak74 trunnion is required to use the barrel. Thanks.

I don't have the actual measurement on hand.
I did compare one of these East German .223 barrels to the trunnion and parts from a Bulgarian AK74 kit and a Polish TANTAL kit. In both cases the parts either fit or the barrel was oversized and would need to be turned down to accept the part.

Thanks, as I suspected the barrel probably will need an akm trunnion or need to be turned down to work with an ak74 kit.

Would this barrel, a Galil bolt, and a Galil feed ramp be all that's needed to turn an AK parts kit into a 5.56 caliber AK?

I really don't know as I have never built one.
Perhaps one of the members here knows the details of the conversion?
