I did manage to get a few semi bursts with last 1/3 of the belt.

I tried all three gas settings. I'm using FMJ ammo. The belt links are new, and I know I'm loading it correctly. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong.
it could be your belt is to tight. I have a few new belts at the shop that are to tight for the bullets to feed. each gun has at least 60 rounds of live ammo and 30 to 40 blanks run through them before being refinished. I haven't had problems with the feed ramps on the dsa receivers they seem to have gotten them right.

You need to hold the gun firmly when firing so it does not short cycle , this will cause feed problems as well.

PS
The builds look awesome!
US bbled guns are standard. I haven't seen opticcs on an rpd

I will post photos of the grips tomorrow night.

If anyone is interested you can send me a email and I'll get you a pic. if needed. Sorry for the side track, keep up the good work Pirate!

can anybody define that the belts are loaded with the tab in the extractor groove, and not on the face of the rim?

Seems i have seen belts loaded two ways, not sure which ones will feed. My "normal" RPD sold on Gunbroker. Going to ship it out this week, so I dont have one to play with until my shorty comes in later. Will be very neat to see how the gas system works with my Suppressor!!!!

the tabs go on the base of the cartridge, the push in ones lock into the extractor rim. it is important to have the rounds properly seated in the belts or it will not feed right.
