Default 555th jig blueprints

Hi, I just found the blueprints for 555th's jig and was wondering about its use. Once I make it how do I use it? It doesn't look like its used the same as other bending jigs out there. Does it support the bending of the top rails? any help on this matter would be great. If it doesn't support the top rails to be bent, how or where could i find blueprints for a jig to do that and mark for cutting?

555th, I really appreciate how fast you are willing to take your time to help people out, that is one reason that gunco is my home
(not just you, but most on here).

That sucks man. I havent been on the forums in a long time and now that im looking for the stuff I used to have planned to make I now find are gone. I think it was the website "gunsgutsandgod.com" that has a barrel removal tool and another cheap tool to make that I wnated to do real bad but now the site is gone as well as many others. The increase in price for kits i guess have drove out many of the sites due to lack of income and traffic. I have set it so you can send me an email through the website, I know finding help of this magnitude is a rare thing these days in the AK building community. I have 1 build under my belt of a m70 underfolder. I have a m92 krink and 1 to 3 romy g's to do still. I have 2 blanks that i want to test out my luck with since i already have them. If anyone knows where a guide or template for rail placement and methods of attaching them other than spot welding would be awesome also. I dont have access to a spot welder and its not worth buying for 3 builds (going with a 100% for the krink). Other ways to attach I have thought of but not sure how well they would work are mig/tig tack weld, or slap on some JB. like I said, not sure how well either would work and any input would be great.

Hydro; Several people on here have used mig. As an added bonus get your post count up, this is normally the friendliest gun board that I have ever found, I am sure that like most of us you will come to call this site home. It will not take long to get your count up, and there is normally plenty of good discussions.

thats how it was on arfcom when I first got into building. I wish I had gotten alot more kits when they were still cheap. kicking myself in the rear for it now. All the places I had bookmarked then (got out of it cause of big move and motorcycle wreck, almost sold my krink kit just to pay bills) are no longer avail. any measurements on placement of the lower rails? from the kit i have in front of me looks like they sit on top of the dimples and sick out just a little in front of them. and for the top rails what are the measurements i need to bend those? I dont want to go bending and mess them up for no good reason when I can get a cheap set of calipers and do it right the first time.

On the other hand, building has come a long way since the early days. Search the library here at Gunco, Almost everything is there and if it's not there, it's been covered in discussions and can be found by searching the forum. You can email me by clicking on 555th and you'll see it on the drop down menu. I can send you a bunch of stuff I have on my computer.

I'm like mauser1959, I've been on a lot of gunboards, but Gunco is #1.
