AK47/AK74 Rate reducer, couple of questions...

Hey Guys;

I have two kits that I am almost ready to build, one is a Romanian AK47 from Bocefus/

and the other is a Bulgarian AK74 from Akron... Both of them come with the rate reducer in the trigger pack...

My question is... Even though my rifle will be semi only, can I install and use the rate reducer just for complete"ness". Will it do anything by just being there without the "other" parts? Heck, if the Akron kit had not come with the darn thing assembled, I would NEVER had figured out how they went together!!!

you can just take it out and buy a spacer from HD to take up the room between the disconnector and trigger

A U.S. trigger group wont work with one, if you use the imported trigger along with a rate reducer I think the ATF might consider it intent.

bsn makes sense. A lot of guys just dump the rate reducer to avoid any hassles. Centerfire Systems tends to remove them from kits (at least the AMD-63 and -65's) to avoid potential liability. 'Completeness' is a worthy goal but since you have to use a US receiver and other compliance parts, how complete or authentic can you really get?

throw it all away. you realy do not want ANY of that stuff even in the house. first thing I do when I get a kit is inspect condition and find all the fire controll group parts and throw them out !! I am going to use US FCG anyway so I do not even keep the euro hammers , nouthing!!

F-Troop... My wife lets me "indulge" in all the toys so long as "I don't get in shit..." ha ha ha... It reminds me very much of the "warnings" given to me by my mom in my youth... I think all women are born with the ability to keep the men in their lives on the straight and narrow!!! ha ha ha...

I always read guys saying they sell the fire control group parts to recoup some money, those extra full auto parts. Sure it is "legal" but you dang well know that unless you are selling it to a licensed manufacturer (and why would they need to buy from random people?) that you are selling it to someone who will probably use it illegally. I never understood people who do this.
