Default No more sore thumbs from the hammer spring!

You know, whenever you're trying to reassemble the hammer spring, it always seems to slip when your hand is in the way, and when those springs hit your thumb, it always seems to hit the knuckle just right so the joint swells and is sore for weeks. It usually draws blood, and for me it literally sends chills up my spine when it happens.

Well, no more! I had one of those forehead slapping moments today!

You would post this idea one hour after I was eaten alive by one of mine. That is really a great method to control those rabid springs...I shall use that from now on. Thanks for putting on the thinking hat.

No not really I just shove it in there spring down and stick the pin In. I dont do any thing like in the first picture. I put the hammer in in first and just shove the hammer in and use a 90degree pick to make sure the spring ends dont catch on the hole for the trigger. I then pull the springs up and cross them and hang them on the reciver and install the trigger.

I see what your doing and it would make things eaiser. good Idea. Ill give it a shot

I have had the triggers in and out so many times reworking them that it get pretty routine.

Thumbs up

Damn. Good idea. All those AKs and my right hand looks like it went through a meat grinder.
