Default Is it possible to put a scope on a Polish Tantal?

I have just gotten a new Polish Tantal and I am wondering if the is a way to remove the left hand selector so I could put a scope mount there?

If you build it on a normal receiver, selector lever and g2 fcg you can eliminate the left hand selector. This will allow to mount a scope mount on the side of the receiver also.

The Polish design uses a top rail like so:

I don't know who made the gun, but on the burst mechanism(holds the X and Y axis pins in place) should be a keyhole looking cut, and you probably just lift the safety selector up, as if your going to take it out of the receiver, and pull it out. Also if you don't plan on keeping the left side selector, I've been looking for one.

So you can take the selector switch off the rifle without impeding its functionality or safety? Can you put a mounting plate after this?

Also I've heard good things about this too.

It allows you to use the iron sights in case of a failure. The only thing I'm not sure of is if your optics end up to high.

steve10,
I believe I might be able to but I'm going to take it to a gunsmith first to see if that is at all possible.

uechiguy,
Where would be a good place to find a new receiver?

Technically yes. But the burst mechanism will not be held in place(if your gun has this) thus causing the X and Y pins to vibrate out of the receiver. This is what I did: As I dont have the left side selectopr I used 2 roll pins and shoving the smaller one into the bigger one making this. It doesnt look the best but it works as of having 600 rnds put through it. It will later be changed to a steel rod. And it would be completly covered by a side rail.
