He charged a guy $150 to clean and shoot some reduced loads through a Japanese 6.5 1938 Arisaka.

I SAW A CLIP ALSO. CLAIMING TO BE THE FIRST 1000 YARD AK. I THINK I HAVE THAT BEAT BY ABOUT 5 YEARS OR SO. BEEN SHOOTING PRAIRE DOGS OUT TO 800 FOR A LONG TIME. HAVE HAD KILLS AT OVER A 1000 BUT ID BE HARD PRESSED TO DO IT CONSISTANTLY. LOOKS LIKE THE SCOPE WAS JUST MOUNTED ON THE DUST COVER. PERHAPS MR HADEN WILL COMENT HERE. WISH I HAD SEEN THE SHOW.

APEARS TO BE A SAGIA 308 WITH A BIG BARREL.

HE IS A STAND UP GUY AND I HAVE PURSHAED STUFF FROM HIM BEFORE IM NOT SAYING ANY THING BAD, HOWEVER HE IS NOT THE FIRST GUY TO SHOOT MODIFED AK,S AT 1000 YARDS.

TIME IS MONEY IN HIS LINE OF WORK. $150 DOSENT GO FAR THESE DAYS.

From what I've seen and heard.

It's a converted Saiga 308 with a match grade barrel blank (they said the brand but I forget it now, wasn't GM) and custom gas system.
The scope setup used the factory side rail and it looked like one of those K-var mounts which was modded to firm it up, when they test fired it in the shop some screw came loose on it and it sounded like they added a set screw or two.

    KREGHOFF BARREL FROM THE CLIP.

I BUILT A .308X39 AK WITH ONE IN MID WEIGHT ITS VERY ACCURATE. HAS DONE ONE HOLE AT 100 YDS. IT WAS FROM A 30BR BENCHREST GUN I RECHAMBERED IT TO 308X39 WITH A CUSTOM LENGTH THROAT. THERE LIKELY THE BEST BARREL OUT THERE

ID LIKE TO SEE WILL,S GUN SHOOT A GROUP .

Near the end of the show when the sniper guy shot it looked like a 5 shot group, it looked like all but one were touching each other, but nothing was mentioned what range it was done at.

I missed the show but I think I can watch it on demand on m cable, when I saw the preview I though of you biggun, I didn't realize they used a .308 saiga, I was wondering if they were going to go with .308x39 of 6.5 grendle, forgot about .308. Kind of makes me want to get a saiga and have someone make a barrel for me maybe I'll get a reloading press today finally

I HAVER SEVERAL 308 SAGIAS IN DIFFERANT CALIBURS AND AM WORKING ON A
6MMX284 SAGIA CURRENTLY. ALL WILL SHOOT WELL AT 1000 IF YOU WANT TO. THERE WELL PROVEN AT 600 ON SODA CAN SIZED VARMINTS.

I SHOOT MOSTLY 223 ON VARMINT. WAS SHOOTING 75 GRAIN A MAX BULLITS THIS YEAR (LAST MONTH ) LOADED PAST THE MAG LENGTH FOR PRAIRE DOGS OUT TO 800 YARDS. NEVER TRIED TO SHOOT AN EXPLODING CAR AT 1000 BUT IM SURE IT WILL DO IT. LOL IT GETS REALLY REALLY HARD TO SEE PDOGS AT 1000.

I KNOW THE 260 REM I HAVE WILL DO WELL AT 1000.

IM GLAD TO SEE WILL SHOW THAT THESE GUNS CAN BE MADE ACCURATE. ID LIKE TO SEE THE OFF CAMERA STUFF HOWEVER.

THE GUYS ON AR15.COM ARE MAKING A JOKE OF THE SHOW BTW. SEEMS THEY ARE ALL EXPERTS THERE.
