Default WOW!! Did I get Screwed!!!!

I'm just posting this to let everyone know to beware of buying parts kits w/o pictures..I'm sure everyone knows already, but if you do this might happen to you. It was for sale on ar15.com for $300OBO Said his "Camera was broke" I ended up buying it for that anyways shipped. WAS SUPPOSED to come w/ U.S compliance parts, all original parts, headspace gauges etc. I didnt get the headspace gauges or some of the needed parts. Thats not my problem... Look at the pictures thats my big problem!

All the holes go into the barrel, and there all oversized. Oh ya, he tried to thread the screws in w/o a tap.

I dont even want to remove the trunnion and see the barrel, I think I will cry.

Keeps getting better! Holes arent centered either, still rivets in them

Who the hell grinds them down this way?

? He coulda just punched this out. Or at least made the hole centered

? You should see the rear stock.. Looks like he put a sanding drum on a drill and went to town on it.

The thing that really bothered me was that this kit before it got "destroyed" looked like it was only fired a couple of times maybe only test fired. Please dont say stuff like- "Wow! your a dumbass for getting it w/o seeing w/ it looks like" I know already and I'm out $300 bucks for doing so, I feel like s**t right now and I'm beyond pissed... But I look at it this way, maybe I saved someone else from getting it, and I know I did. Well I might as well ask: Is this even repairable? I'll have to take off the trunnion to see how bad the barrel is.

Wow! I'd be ashamed to sell that without a big ol "hey I really f*&ked this kit up" in the description.

What an Ass... He owes you $300. NEVER TRUST SOMEONE WHO SAYS THEIR CAMERA IS BROKE... Tell them to go get a picture made. Tell them, digital camera's are on everyone's cell phones. Borrow one.

People like that shouldn't continue to breath, it wastes oxygen.

That really sucks. Pull the barrel and maybe this idiot didn't go too deep. Even if he did get it a bit, it could still be usable. I'm surprised he didn't duct tape the kit together!

That stinks, but I think you can salvage it. Another rear trunion, replace furniture that can't be repaired and use larger rivets on front trunion if necessary. It doesn't look like he drilled deep enough to get into the barrel. But if you can get your money back go for it.

The deepest hole looks like it goes 1/4" in including trunnion. The bad thing was he said he had a nds receiver that he drilled out for trunnion, good thing I didnt get that.
