Is it possible if the reciever has an s to use 7.62x39? I have not checked the barrel yet just an idea it is a spandau 1890, or just make it a wall hanger?:scared:

most but not all gew 88's have a .318 barrel, some where rebarreled to .323 most if not all 7.62 are .310 so you would have a difference of .008 not much but it would affect accuracy plus the rim diminsion is smaller
I shoot my Commisson rifle all the time, I use woodleigh 318 round nose, load weak, and plink all day. I would never ever ever use 8mm mauser .323, some say you can I will no.t also even if rebarreled to .323 the pressure of modern service ammo is to much
you could get a chamber adapter from ACE in alaska and shoot 32acp
Thank you.You answerd my question.
I have a bunch of these if anyone needs parts, shoot me a pm. I do not have bolt heads but do have one bolt. The rest are just barreled receivers, trigger gaurds, etc.
those pesky bolt heads I do remember a guy on gunboards quite a few years back, who made them for all those south american imports a while back. don't know if they are still available
Those M-88 bolt heads are history now but there are machinist drawings of them available.
