Thumbs up Savage 110

One of the underrated bolt rifles is the Savage 110...
Not the most beautiful hunting gun but price performance is unequaled.

Most agree out of the box the Savage 110 is one outstanding big game rifle.

I agree! The combination of price and quality for the Savage products is hard to beat. One gun I hope to add to my herd is the Savage 11 in .308. This is the short action version of the 110. You can find these complete with a Bushnell Banner 3-9X40 scope. They usually cost less than $400 for the complete package. I think that this combination is hard to beat. Later, I may purchase the 110 in 30-06. I would like to have both calibers in my possesion.

ALL MY VARMINT SHOOTNG BUDDIES HAVE SAVAGE AN EVERY ONE SHOOTS GOOD.

WE HAVE AFEW HIGH END REMINGTONS AN A CZ,S THAT ALL TOOK SOEM TWEAKING TO MAKE SHOOT WELL.

I HAVE SEEN THERE 223 HEAVY VARMNT RIFLES SHOOT ONE HOLE MANY MANY TIMES AT 100 YARDS. SAVAGE ASLO SEEMS TO HAVE A BETTER CRASP ON CORRECT BARREL TWISTS AN BETTER FREE BORE ON THERE CHAMBERS ALSO. THERE BUTTION RIFFLED BARRELS OUT SHOOT REMINGTIONS HAMMER FORGED STUFF IMO . I HAVE USED NEW TAKES OFF FROM BOTH ON MANY AK PROJECTS AN THE SAVAGE BARRELS SHOT BETTER . I CANT SAY THAT ONES BATTER FOR SURE AS MAYBE MY MACHING IS MORE STRESS INDUCING ON ONE TYOE OF RIFLEING VS ANOTHER BUT I CAN SAY THAT I HAVE HAD BETTER LUCK WITH SAVAGE TAKE OFFS VS REMINGTON ON THREE OCCASIONS . NOT SURE IM PROVING ANYHTING BUT I DO KNOW OUR SAVAGE VARMINT RIFLES ALL OUT SHOOT ANY STOCK REMINGTON IN 223 SO FAR. COMPARED TO MY RUGER 223 THERE TWICE AS ACCURATE.

BEAST BANG FOR THE BUCK IMO EVEN IN A RIMFIRE. AN GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SO FAR. WE GOT A BAD HAND LOAD STUCK IN CHAMBER AN THEY TOOK CARE OF IT FOR US FREE AN ALSO LOOKED INTO FEEDING ISSUE AS WELL THAT WAS LIKEY OUR FAULT AS WELL .

even their least expensive model the axis/edge rifle is a great shooting rifle.

i bought one a few years back just because they were so cheap --the thing shoots shockingly well out of the box.

I have an old Savage 340C in 222 Cal that was scorched in a fire and was given to me. Nothing appeared warped. Replaced the stock and magazine. added a scope, camo pain and bipod. Sweet little coyote gun. Very accurate.
