One benefit that I see in having a shotgun is this: There is still a lot of shotgun ammo on dealer's shelves. Here in Southern Oregon all gun stores seem to be out of virtually all handgun and rifle ammo, but they all have shot shells on the shelf. I'm going to start picking up a few more boxes while it is available. I don't know if shortages of this ammo will come, but I suggest that we get it while we can.
