Most seem too agree, Wolf is pretty good for the money. I like Brown Bear, and Golden tiger is also affordable. Try some of these places

I've read alot about the surplus bulgarian. This is what I'm leaning towards. I would rather go surplus as it is cheaper.

aim surplus has golden tiger at $149. THey also have silver bear and brown bear. next place is if you deal with sportsmans guide and are a member of their buyers club the ammo is around $160 (around $170 without buyer club). If you use a coupon (either $10 off or free shipping) then the ammo is closer to what Aim is charging. BTW, sportsmans guide is selling wolf and wolf military classic.

There are other places that sell it as well - there are a lot of helpful links in a previous post by JinxxxOnU.

Re: SPG buyers club....when you join or renew you get free shipping...if you order a bunch of ammo, its worth it. Buy recently they have had lots of ammo on BO...I waited a year for 5.45x39 but they did honor the original orders pricing....

How does SGs "low price guarantee" work? They have Bulgarian surplus 5.45 for sale at about $150ish and they are currently running a free shipping coupon good until the 28th. SOG has the same ammo for $118.80 plus shipping. Will they price match it when I order, or do I have to order then they refund the difference?

They want to know who has it for the lower price and then they "verify" the lower price. Afterwards they call you and you can order it at the lower price. I would assume if you had already ordered that you could use the low price guarantee as well (30 days right?) I called SG Tuesday about the very thing you mentioned above. Gave them the info from the SOG site and they said they would call me back. I inquired the next day as well, they said they were still waiting for verification. I finally bit the bullet and ordered from SOG last night. Shipping was only $18.20 on two cans - so to me that isn't bad at all.
