    Thumbs down AK Parts.com

Fellow builders beware this small, fly by night crackerjack company. They have NO phone, and when you email them regarding an order, you MIGHT get a response after 10+ days. They "lose" orders, incorrectly fill orders, and generally just piss you off. It is my FIRM belief that these people MIGHT stock one or two of the things they advertise on their site, and then fill their orders from other suppliers such as J&G Sales, SARCO, AK-Builder, KVAR, etc. Trust me, order you parts from these reputable suppliers YOURSELF! They have a nice flashy website, but unless you are very patient and are willing to WAIT with NO WAY to contact them, BEWARE!!!!!

I dont know, but I ordered some romanian kits from them and after nearly a month of playing the mystery email game, they finally sent me the order, which was not correct. I will never do business with them again.

My buddy just ordered a Romainian from them and it took 2 weeks to get here.
    Although it did get here.
He saved $10.00 in the end.
Look at the screen. That is why we buy from our posted suppliers. No muss no fuss and they keep there word.
If centerfire is supplying them, that would piss me off cause it tells me they have kits and there holding out. Why those little devils.
I spent thousands of $$$ with those buggers. I got to give them a call and stir the pot.

some of my best kits came from AK Parts. service was always good and email contacts were prompt. not all internet businesses have telephone access. sorry you had problems but maybe you should wait a bit before you call them fly by night.

I think whoever runs ak parts does so as a "second job" or a "weekend job". I think ak parts and ftfindustries get most of their supplies from centerfire. I laugh whenever centerfire puts a new kit out and 3 other places have them listed 2 weeks later at a higher price and listed as "just got it in". My opinion is that if they weren't trying to make over $100 profit on each kit they sell then they might actually do better business. Oh well, Cheers to guys at Centerfire!

Speaking of FTF Industries, look at how this crooked company markets its never assembled Yugoslavian M70AB2 parts kit: http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=78937487. They claim that because the kit has never been assembled, the "HUGE CHORE of disassembly is not required!" They are correct; however they fail to mention that the builder now has the even bigger chore of assembling the barrel assembly. Not only are they being deceitful about the amount of work involved, but their price for the parts kit is over $100 more than what other websites advertise. Cope?s Distributing has brand new M70AB2 parts kits that have been blued and have had the barrel assembled for less than FTF sells their never assembled kit! Should I mention that someone can buy a complete M70AB2 for less than FTF is selling their parts kit? I have also noticed that throughout their website, they like to emphasize on FULL AUTO every chance they get. This company is clearly marketing to people new to AK building. To all the new guys out there, do yourself a favor: STAY AWAY! Your wallet will thank you!

Regarding FTF industries, I have a flat from them that after I bent it up, it has an extra hole near the trigger and hammer holes. I guess they hired some idiots to machine their flats. I bought these in a lot because they were clearance items, so I GUESS I DID GET SCREWED!!! SIGH!!!!

My best kits have also come from AKparts. The only time I needed to contact them, Sandy got right back to me by email. But that has been some time ago, when kits were all the rage. Now that the supply is drying up, AKparts could very well be a part time operation.

I do not think that CFS is the source of the kits. I do think a source is somewhere in Ky, near CFS and AKparts (and another, I forget the name). I have ordered from all three. The best kits consistently came from AKparts and the worst came from CFS. AKparts also packed their kits much better. One time I ordered 10 Romys from CFS. They came loosely packed in two big boxes. One box had a fist sized hole in the side. Two barrels were sticking out. Always wondered what the delivery guy thought about that.

At the time, it seemed to me that the kits were getting divided up, with the worst kits going to CFS and the best going to AKparts. I always felt I got what I paid for from each.

I have wondered if they are all associated with the same owner. Dunno.
