Default FEG kits from Centerfire

Got my kit from Centerfire. Man it is sweet! The Polish underfolder may have to wait a bit.

Looks Great. What kind of receiver do you plan on building it with?

I have a Ewbanks Gen 2 in hand I was going to use for the Polish underfolder. I expect I will use that, unless DCI comes up with a AKM reciever PDQ.

That's nice! I'm waiting for the big brown truck right now (rubbing hands together in anticipation)!

Got mine....

Hand select kit....

1) Barrel condition perfect - great lands & groves, no errosion.
2) Headspace as received - perfect. Barely passed a GO.
3) Metal finish: about 75%
4) Wood - between firewood and poor. I'll be selling it, I have better.
5) Accessories - zero value. Greasy used pouch, $3 sling... probably sell it all.

Conclusion - a $150 kit (old money)... now a $200 kit (new money - thanks to the Feds). Not CFs fault - that's the market. This is a builders kit: expect to refinish everything, but get VERY good starting material.

I got my kit (SA-85) today from the BBT and was a little less than happy. The selector lever was bent into a U -shape??????? (How did they do that?)
The hammmer and trigger pins were missing. The disconnector spring was nowhere to be found.
The bore was great as it is chrome lined. The wood was used as stated, but had more shipping damage than use wear. The paint was 85% for a select kit and all the rest of the goodies were there and in good shape.
I called Centerfire Systems and they told me to send the old selector switch back and they would send me all the missing parts with that return shipment.

So who will be the first to post a completed build on one of these?
