ok, here goes. I tried out the Greenlight arms bending jig and did a limited walk through on what I did. I do not know how to post pics here, so follow the links to the pictures.
1st picture just shows the jig and the 3 (as I call them) placement shims

Next I am checking the depth of the shim against the measurements chris gave me

Here is the jig set up in my H/F press

Placing the flat onto the jig

I have the jig in place ready to do the first press

First top rail went well, flipped the flat around and now bending the second top rail

I have set and spotwelded the lower rails in place. changed the shim to the right side shim, and getting ready to bend.

here the rightside is bent. I did not show the left side. Once the rightside is done, remove the rightside shim. Replace with the left side shim and bend the left side.

Here are the pictures of the finished receiver.

I do not have an exact time, but from first bend to last bend, maybe 15 min. (not including spot weld time)

I personally do not know where chris is at in getting more done. When I picked up mine I saw a bunch that looked like he had just welded them together.
havent tried putting in the trigger pin yet. If it should be low that means I have to readjust the placement shims.
The holes were already drilled in the lowers, so placement was pretty well figured for me. The jig was designed as to be able to weld the rails in place with a normal spot welder.
It was one of the Weaponeer group buy flats. I wish I would have bought more

I bought some of those flats too. They're the best I've seen, so far. The reason I think this bender is a good design, is because it works like a real bending brake. Love those nice, square bends!
The flat looks like the one we offer at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
We have had three successful group buys for the flat/rails sets on Weaponeer.net, and there is a fourth group buy that just started this week.

Very good job, 'gunkgy'!
Harlan
that must be where I got it. It came from a Weaponeer group buy.

Hey everybody, I just confirmed at weaponeer to get 5 more of those flats. They are the ones that Harlan Makes. In my own humble opinion they outshine all the others. here is the link

Just got through reading about a guy getting his AK tools within a couple of weeks.
Well, here I am being a nice guy and not bothering Chris for my flat jig I ordered back in July so he can get more done.
Looks like I am helping him get stuff out to others quickly.
Chris, so I need to call you to get you stuff ship out within two weeks and move to the front of the line?
Feels like a game of musical chairs and I am the last one standing.
If it is me you are talking about getting them in a couple of weeks you are mistaken. My Jigg was on order for a few months. I had to wait just like everyone else. My advantage is I live 3hrs away from him, so I have been able to go to his house and personaly talk to him. (harder to ignore).
I also got a good response by writing to both his E-mail addresses.
