You can buy sprayers that use disposable aerosol cartridges.
They are inexpensive and work well.

NAPA auto parts stores carry them, also available here.

I will try to get some pics up tonight. Go on to their sight. They recommend an air brush (specifically a cheap one). If you have a compressor you can get one that works off of that. If you follow the directions, its almost fool proof (I am living proof). I cant stess enough how much preparation counts. I used CRC brake cleaner. That stuff is the best. I also got some MEK which I think is the active ingredient in the brake cleaner. I also preheated the parts as per the instructions. I think preheating (prior to spraying) helps eliminate potiential for runs. Preheating also chases out any oil that may be still inside a metal part. Jack

Somehow I get the feeling that Amy must have been away at a horse show or something.
I can't see her getting too excited about gun parts baking away in her oven.
As sweet as she is, I'm sure that even she would have to draw the line somewhere. LOL

What temperature is required for baking?

There was very little smell. Not half as bad as the Brownell's Gun Kote. Jack

I evaded the dog house by using our gas grill outside on the patio. This looks like a good alternative to Brownell's. Jack, beyond degreasing, how did you prepare the surface?
