Review of AK-Builders rail jig.

I agree rob, but the point I was getting at was this:
The average person could at one time buy tools, and kits to build several AKs for the same money of a mid to high end factory AK. THOSE days are gone forever (barring a change in current laws).

I like Ak-builders Tools I even got to tour the machine shop class A milling machines.

How do you get in touch with Curtis ? I really would like to know what jigs and fixtures are available, Just got into my first build . Tried to make my own receiver forming jig, but after that i am lost. Will post pics asap

Thanks Chief Just ordered a few jigs and odd parts, Web site was a dream to use. Made ordering so easy I spent $100.00 more than i planned. This building of AK's is going to be expensive, i can tell. Bought a H/F drill press and its great for 1/8" and under but 1/2 inch in 1/2 inch steel choaked it. Went to Ebay and found a 400 lbs Wilton Drill Press for $150.00 (but 250.00 for shipping) so to make the freight cost reasonable i bought another 400lbs of stuff. After years of just collecting guns my new hobby will be to try and build a few.

Today i spent a lot of time getting to know my garage floor. If the door was open a passer by could have mistaken me for a muslim (no offense intended) for the amount of time i was on my knees with a hammer in my hand. You guys convinced me to pull tghe BBl. on my AMD Kit and drill out the rivets. Getting the BBl. pin out wasn't that bad with the BFH. Next to buy is a 20 ton press.

I always use marking dye.. works great for making crisp lines I take it down with a dremel and then clean a d re scribe and then hand file the rest.
