Default Rustoleum Hammered Finish??

I was just wondering if anybody has used this to finish an AK. It has a really neat textured finish that I think would look great on an AK. But I didn't want to use it if it would be something that didn't last.

I have never used it on a an AK, but I used it on my x ray operator shield. While it looks good for a while, it does not hold up well(chips easily), it also tends to apply a little thick and not really amenable to finishing an AK

try the rust-o-leum textured, i think it's #7220. looks identical to the finish on the bulgy 74's.

Preacher, I used that stuff on my Polish underfolder build. I agree with what everyone else said. Although i'm embaressed of the finish i'll be bringing that rifle to the shoot at the end of the month. This summer i'll refinish it.

If you park then use #7220 textured it will adhere better. It is a good looking finish just not happy when some of it chips. I used it on my 74 and turned out great for a display weapon.

Park then use it would be my suggestion
