Default Taurus Sucks

I bought a Taurus Millennium used from Mid America Arms, in St Louis. It is PT 145 model. When I took to the range to test fire it malfunctioned. I will never by a firearm from MMA again, they don't test their used guns. Anyway, I sent it back to Taurus for
repair that cost me $50.00 dollars in shipping cost. They had the gun for 5 weeks. I tested it gain , it malfunctioned again, same problem, a failure to feed. No more Taurus for me or Mid Amercian Arms , as well. Now I'm out $350.00 dollars. Oh yeah Taurus claims what great customer service they have.

sorry to hear that I bought my wife a taurus 605 .357mag and I liked it so much I bought 2 more, but the 605 is a wheel gun

What type of ammo have you tried ball, HP, FMJ. Have you tried different mags?

hopefully you can get it working

Sorry to hear it. My PT-145 has been trouble free through several hundred rounds-perhaps yours is one of the first-gen ones that were known to have some problems. These were worked out with later iterations...

My millinium .40 runs like a top. Is it not picking up the round at all or what?

Taurus doesn't suck...the place that sold you a broken pistol does.

Try a new mag or send it back again.

What he said, I'd be bitching at the place that sold it to you.

Try different ammo or a magazine. That might be the problem. Taurus is not bad....it can't be, its what keeps the urban wars going in the favelas of Rio

I don't know about Taurus quality lately. A buddy bought one of their stainless .357 models, the one that is a copy of the "Centennial" from Smith. First thing I noticed was the muzzle was still rough from being cut off in the lathe, they hadn't cut a crown and the burrs from the facing cut were bent down into the bore. Dry fired it a few times and the mechanism locked up. I suggested he call Taurus and have them send a UPS tag so he could ship it back, they said no you pay shipping, not us. So looking at maybe $50-60 bucks to get a new gun made right I took it apart myself to fix it. A pin in the hammer had come out, jamming into the cylinder release. There was swarf inside the cavity, and several parts looked like misformed MIM. This thing needed a few more hours in the factory getting finished instead of going out the door as a complete gun.
