Postak Vortex flash hider

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had any dealings with a vortex flash hider and thier thoughts on it as to efectiveness. I have seen the u tube videos. They look to work great. I was thinking of getting one for my AK and was figuring that someone here must have one, and fellow members thoughts on them. Im also wondering on how efective it is around dawn and night time. Thanks SEADOG

Used one on an AR15, very effective with the ,223 round. Open end tends to catch on things but that's the only drawback.

There is I recall a groove around the open end of the Voetex where you can wrap safety wire or a small steel ring to keep elephant grass, wait-a-minute brush, etc out of your FH.

Hello VZ58,
I would chuck it up in a lathe with a snug fitting rod in the FH bore (drill shank), hose clamp, and turn a small groove at the muzzle for safety wire or tiny hog ring. I'm sure Sonja would approve.

Anyone know if a bayonet will fit over it?
