What do you all think the probability is that we will have a REAL confrontation with IRAN? Would it happen this year? Will RUSSIA and the rest of the middle East join in? Will the South American countries get in on the deal?

On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report": Since we are beginning a new year, it's a perfect time to pause for reflection. It's also a perfect time to look forward and assess what the immediate future may hold. Because America faces critical challenges like none we've encountered before, I decided to revisit my 'Fourth of July meditation' which I call "Does the Flag Still Wave?"

Everyone recognizes that the United States of America is now the world's only superpower. Its economy is the engine that drives the world. Even in our difficult times, it is still the cornerstone on which the global economy rests.

Twice in one century, the United States saved Europe, and the rest of the world, from the domination of tyrants. Later, America drove the Soviet Empire into the ground and, in so doing, secured freedom for untold millions of citizens and scores of nations.

No matter your politics or what label you attach to your beliefs, it is undeniable that, to this day, America remains the last, best hope of the world's oppressed.

Yet the United States of America exists in the shadow of an uncertainty. Have you ever thought about the fact that even our National Anthem acknowledges that it is possible to forfeit or lose the magnificent heritage that is the United States of America? When Francis Scott Key penned the words to The Star Spangled Banner, he ended the first verse (which is the one customarily performed as our nation's official anthem) with a question: "O' say does that star spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?"

Whether he was being prophetic or simply poetic is not important. His inclusion of that question rightly implies that America's great freedom and promise cannot be taken for granted. It came into existence through the great courage and sacrifice of our forebears. It can fade from existence through the antipathy and apathy of its current citizens.

That's why so many of our Founding Fathers found it imperative to insist that the form of government they established can only prosper if the citizenry is predominantly Judeo-Christian. They minced no words when they proclaimed that our democracy can only succeed if it remains founded on the principles of Christianity and respectful of its Judeo-Christian principles.

Yet, today as no time in our history, those very principles are under ferocious attack. It's as if major elements of society have hoisted their axes, determined to chop away at the roots of our democracy until the magnificent tree of American freedom shivers and falls.

That's why there is no time to lose. As Christians and patriots, we must seek God's mercy for our faltering nation. The forces of darkness have succeeded in marshaling their greatest assault yet. And the speed with which recent changes and events have weakened the basic foundations of our society is nothing compared to what we may see in the coming months. If we are to see our nation saved, we must earnestly call out to God, repent of our sins as a nation, and humble ourselves before Him.

There's no better time to begin that renewal than at the dawning of the new year, 2010.

Thank you for your faithful support of "The Hal Lindsey Report" during 2009. Have a "Happy New Year!" May God's richest blessings be yours. And may God continue to bless our beloved America.

The Inevitable War With Iran
Middle East piece by J. D. Longstreet

A war with Iran is “a given.“ It is as some say: “a “fait accompli.“ Just exactly who the combatant nations will be remains to be seen, however. My crystal ball is a bit cloudy in that area of prophecy.

We are fairly sure Israel will be one of the combatants and even though the US protests that it does not want a fight with Iran, I don’t see how it can be avoided. Even if the current US Presidential Administration will not assist Israel in a war with Iran the Obama Regime WILL assist Saudi Arabia!

We never seem to learn, here in the “good ole USA.” We still insist on getting more people killed on both sides of a conflict than is necessary to settle the dispute. That is especially true when we have the misfortune to have a liberal/socialist/communist/progressive in the White House and those with the same political philosophy control the national legislature.

“How is that?” you may ask.

Well, those of the President’s political persuasion believe they are smarter than anyone else on the planet and this self-deception leads them to be made fools of EVERY SINGLE TIME! They simply cannot accept that ANYONE is smart enough to deceive them… ever. And therein lies their Achilles Heel. Our enemies simply use political jujitsu on liberal American politicians and “statesmen” and they “roll” our guys every time.

To tell you the truth, folks, it is downright embarrassing!

President Teddy Roosevelt set the gold standard for dealing with that part of the world back in 1904. When Mulai Ahmed er Raisuli, the commander of a band of Berber insurrectionists, kidnapped a middle-aged American man and his stepson, who, by the way, were not harmed, Teddy issued a statement and sent a copy of it to Raisuli which said: “Perdicaris alive or Raisuli dead!“ – and sent an invading force of US Marines to back it up. The hostages were released unharmed. Even then the “diplomats”, the “statesmen” were advising Teddy not to do that. They, as today, wanted to talk to Raisuli.

Today we have two wars raging in the Middle East and a third country, Iran, doing everything they can to bait the US and Israel into war.

Now, here’s the thing: IRAN REALLY DOES WANT WAR! They long for the return of the Third Immam. But their belief insists upon great devestation in the world before the Third Immam will return. Their national leadership is dedicated to this and they will continue their drive to create a nuclear bomb some are already calling the “Islam Bomb.” They are rapidly developing missiles capable of striking Israel, some of the eastern European countries and, of course, US military bases in the region. The minute they have the bomb, have it strapped to one of those missiles, they WILL fire it at Israel. There is absolutely no question about that. If thay have more than one, the second will be targeted at US military bases around Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Saudis are scared witless of the Iranians. US politicians believe we need the Saudi oil so we have, whether we admit it publicly, or not, agreed to help protect Saudi Araba from an attack by Iran.

The US is INSISTING upon talking with Iran. The ego of our “Dear Leader” is of such imensity that he appears to actually believe that no one can resist his oratorical charm and once he vibrates his Golden Tonsils in the direction of the Iranians they will immediately fall into line and no war will ensue. There is only one thing wrong with that. And that is—it won’t work. The President will only come off lookimg foolish, amatuerish, and as weak as he actually is.

In the meantime, while the diplomats jaw-jaw, the Iranians will be building up their strength and, unfortunately, getting that Islam Bomb ready to drop in on Israel. As a result of all the foot dragging on the part of the Obama Regime, when the killing begins lots and lots more Israelis will be killed than was necessary, and an infuriated Israel will, very likely, nuke the living daylights out of Iran from one end of the country to the other. The blame for the deaths of those Israelis will rightfully be laid at the door to the Obama Oval Office.

A single warning to the Iranian governemt sould be sufficient. At the same time (as Teddy Roosevelt did) send every available warship in the US Navy’s fleet(s) to stand off shore of Iran, lob a few cruise missiles into Iran—to get their attention—and assure them we DO mean business.

Yes, the US State Department would probably have apoplexy and a few of the “striped pants crowd” would most likely swoon from massive anxiety attacks.

If Iran persists, after the unmistakable warning from the US, then tactical nukes should be used on their nuclear facilities and a few of their government buildings including their command and control centers.

Then go silent.

Not a word.

Not one word should be spoken to Iran.

Of course, there will be caterwauling from the limp-wrists at the UN and certain European countries. They should be brushed off without a single word from the US in reply.

If Iran persists after the warning… then send in the stealth bombers and wreak havoc in their Persian Paradise and repeat as often as necessary. When Iran finally pleads for talks, ignore them. No reply should be our reply. One of the most effective ways to “contain an enemy” is to keep him “hunkered down” in bunkers.

Now I’m not foolish enough to believe the Obama Regime will do any of this. No, they are committed to making fools of themselves and embarrassing the rest of us… and in the end, as we said above, a lot more lives wil be lost in Israel AND in Iran. A President afflcted with an uncontrolable ego and suffering from narsicissim and a good dose of grandiosity can be a real danger to peace. And, like a bull in a china shop, he can do a lot of damage.

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report," I'll present Part Two of my "Prophetic Year in Review: 2009." I'll continue to examine the major stories of the past year that I feel have significance in the light of Bible prophecy.

This week, I'll discuss some of the prophetic implications of the major events that occurred in Israel this past year. I'll also take a look at what seems to be a resurgence of Islam throughout the world. Perhaps this has been spurred by the change in America's political leadership?

I'll also cover some of the strides Russia made toward re-establishing its hegemony in the former Soviet republics. I believe we'll see Russia continue to grow in strength, influence, and belligerence in the coming months and years.

Once again, thank you for your faithful support of "The Hal Lindsey Report" during 2009. As we move closer to Christ's return, we'll see the events foretold in prophecy unfold with greater frequency and intensity. That's why it's so important to keep this program on the air around the world. Now, more than ever, the world needs a 'watchman on the wall.' I can only continue this ministry with your generous support and participation.

I'm praying that God will bless your faithfulness and grant you a happy and prosperous new year.

Time may be getting short!

On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report": As I watch some of the developments in Afghanistan, I am concerned that we are approaching this conflict more as a "police action" than as a war against very real, deadly, and persistent enemies. We approached another war in our recent history as a "police action." That was Korea. We ignored the advice of one of our greatest generals when he admonished the Congress, "In war, there is no substitute for victory." Was he right? Well, more than 50 years later, we still have tens of thousands of American troops in South Korea, on constant alert against invasion from an enemy we chose not to defeat a half-century ago.

China has announced it wants to establish a military presence in the Middle East during the next decade. It wants to position itself closer to the strategic materials it secures from suppliers in the Persian Gulf region, i.e. oil and natural gas. China apparently feels the need to protect those investments and guarantee access to those resources. Could this be the beachhead for events predicted by John in the Book of Revelation?

The normally cordial relations between Turkey and Israel have taken a beating in recent months. They have suffered at the hands of Turkey's Prime Minister Erdogan, one of the leaders of the Islamist AK party. Of course, a couple of far right members of Netanyahu's cabinet haven't helped the situation with some recent grandstanding of their own! Turkey has been Israel's only Islamic ally during the last several years. The two nations have even enjoyed joint military cooperation since 1995. But it now appears that the Muslim elements of Turkey's secular government are beginning to take control. As a result, they are pushing Israel out of the relationship and strengthening Turkey's ties with Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, just as Ezekiel predicted.

You know that Israel is one of the tiniest nations on earth, both geographically and population-wise. You also know that it is surrounded and hopelessly outnumbered by hostile nations that have repeatedly tried to annihilate the tiny state. But did you know that Israel is also one of the most advanced and sophisticated weapons manufacturers in the world? And they are particularly skilled at producing 'unmanned' machines to make the battle easier. Sixty years ago, the Israelis were a backward, agrarian society fighting off their enemies with war surplus material scavenged from around the world. Now, their goal is to produce machines to fight the battle for them. In fact, an Israeli engineer invented the unmanned flying drone that is now such a critical tool for American forces. The Israelis are determined to limit the number of casualties their forces suffer -- in part because their population is so small and thus their force strength is severely limited. Could it be that God has given His people a special ability to excel in this area? That certainly fits with the Bible's prediction about their self-defense in the face of overwhelming odds.

Finally, the almost unbelievable tragedy and suffering we're witnessing in Haiti reminds me that we are rushing headlong toward the final days of this Age. Jesus Himself said that as the time of His return approaches, these events will occur with greater frequency and intensity than ever before. It's time for all Christians to heed the parable of the Good Samaritan and do everything we can to alleviate the suffering of these victims, the poorest of the poor. But it's also time to make certain we and our families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are prepared to answer the call when Jesus shouts, "Come up here!"

I'm convinced that may happen at any moment now.

Maranatha!

I tell you what folks.

I have been posting these things here for around a year now.

Everybody knows what is coming. And, I hope you are getting ready for it.

If you decide that you would like to watch the Hal Lindsey Report, go on ahead. But for now, I think it better that we maybe stick to what this site is about rather than the end?

There is too much about the end now.

Lets live and be positive as we can.

The moderators here been very nice to allow me to post all of this for so long. But now, we all need to think positive and live well.

CHEERS!!!!

No war this year is my guess. Seems all the players pieces are not on the board yet. I don't think the Middle East is ready for that. In the near future though I think thinks will become more shaky. The U.S. has pledged $2.7 Billion this year alone in military aid to Israel and with 31 Jewish members in congress and 13 Jewish senators I doubt that will be cut. Why blow all that money now when there is another $5.8 billion coming by 2012. Thanks to the 10 year military aid agreement of 2007. I don't think that is making anyone else happy over there and no one seems to be willing to sit down together.

Anyway, M U S I B I K E was right, Lets live and be positive as we can.
After all thats all we can do, right?

I read somewhere about IRAN wanting to pull some kind of Deal on Feb 11th. I did not read it well though. If someone else knows and wants to share it with us, please do so.

No point in worrying any more about ANY of this kind of stuff. Just prepare yourself for anything with a reasonable stock of water, food and, medicine to take of your family and pets.

Keep a cool head with your wits about you and DO NOT panic.

And, DO NOT sit around waiting on the S*&T to hit the fan!

Instead, go and make a GOLD AK47, PIMPED to the max!

Or, just ride a bike and get into shape.

Life is real GOOD for the time being. ENJOY it!

Not convinced we should be involved in rescueing Isreal. Their treatment of the Palestinians shows them to be no better than other middle east nations. I am sick of spending money to prop up Isreal when evidence has showed they have spied on us and actually attacked one of our ships, (USS Liberty). It is also my opinion that Isreal was possibly involved in 9/11 through Massad and was involved with the jewish businessman who leased the WTC buildings and the subsequent proposal by Leiberman to form homeland security and the dreaded patriot act. I'm not an anti-semite, but I am no fan of the butchers they have had as leaders.

#269 ·
I think we should let Israel off the leash and let them plow under all the middle east countries that refuse to tow the line. Total war. Let it come about. Butchers? NO! Survivers that have been surrounded by enemies sworn to wipe them off the face of the earth.

If we could at least see IRAN set up a sizable ELECTRICAL POWER station with at least several triad poles coming out to transmit electrical power to the community, that would be a great thing. All we see are plutonium enrichment facilities with NO STEP UP TRANSFORMERS or TRIAD POLES around anywhere?!?!

IRAN is not going to generate electricity!?!? They just want to build bombs and control all of their neighbors like puppets.

I would watch this one folks.

Some real spooky cards are ending up on the table now!

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
On this week's edition of "The Hal Lindsey Report," war preparations heat up the Middle East. Hezbollah sends 5,000 soldiers to be trained by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard near Tehran. Their mission? A sweep from Lebanon through northern Israel to the Galilee region. Apparently, it will be part of a future coordinated uprising in Israel. Iran is shipping weaponry to Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. How do we know? Some of their barrels - packed with explosives - washed up on Israeli beaches last week.

Ayatollah Khameini's recent threat to punch Western arrogance was pretty much empty, but Ahmadinejad is trying to recover the fumble by declaring Iran a "nuclear state." Meanwhile, Netanyahu traveled to Russia to press for 'toothier' sanctions against Iran.

I'll bet the members of the International Panel on Climate Change are feeling a bit like the crew of the Titanic this week. The global warming steamliner is beginning to drift and take on water. Arrogantly, no one was manning the bridge when the UNS IPCC struck the iceberg aptly named "The Truth!"

This week I'm going to share a report on a controversial book by Dr. Peter Hammond. It's called Slavery, Terrorism & Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat. It's controversial because the facts and figures it recites go contrary to Political Correctness. The statistics and trends I will cite may shock you and even make you feel uncomfortable in the "PC" department. But when you hear and see them, they'll ring true in your spirit because they confirm what we've been seeing in the news the last several years.

And then, just to drive the point home, I'm going to share a dramatic story that's unfolding as I write this. Mr. Geert Wilders is a Member of Parliament in The Netherlands. In fact, the party he leads is expected to become the largest party in the parliament come the next election. However, Mr. Wilders is currently on trial. He faces two years in prison if he is convicted of 'hate speech.' His crime? He criticized Islam. You'll hear Mr. Wilders' thoughts from his own mouth. You'll say to yourself, "Hey, I agree with everything he says!" Then you may say, "Am I next?" If America continues down this path of reckless multiculturalism and political correctness, we may all be next.

AM I JUST DREAMING?

It may not be so as easy as this? There are many good intellegent Iranian citizens which are growing tired of religious fundamentalisum. These people want to have a life and raise families like the rest of us.

Somehow, they have to start generating ELECTRICITY cheap for all of the people over there. Somebody with some sense may figure out how to take all of that NUKE material away from those NUTS and do the right thing with it?

#283 ·
I'm concerned we "missed the boat". Iran probably has one workable atomic weapon by now. Some of these atomic designs are so "primitive" that they don't need to be tested. I recall Iran stating recently that they have "masterd atomic energy technology" like it was a veiled threat that they have a nuke. Let Israel take the heat if they want to pick a fight. Iran is going to have a nuke sooner or later, lets just learn how to deal with it.
