The grassroots community organization, ACORN, is fighting for a new law it says will save lives. "Stop the Bullet" is a campaign that would make it harder for felons to buy ammunition from stores. When you buy a gun, gun shops have to run a background check first to make sure you're not a convicted felon.

Yah, right. When I lived in NJ, a FID (includes passing a background check) is required to buy even a BB and look how that has curbed crime in that state

ACORN is nothing more than a socialist front for the Soros new world order crowd. It's getting close for a time when these nuts are crushed as they fall from the tree.

durham co. has never been a gun friendly county. it is rittled with gang and crime. as usual some try to put a band-aide on a arterial wound.

When I lived in Vermont I could not buy ammo in Massachusetts without some kind of I.D. card they wanted.
That was 20yrs ago.

Why doesn't acorn propose a "stop the criminals" law? Oh I know why...Its not the criminals fault, its the bullets fault??? They should be pressing for harder longer sentences for violent offenders and not trying to chip away at the rights of all americans.
