I'm still waiting for the unicorn pix.
The same pins fit the old AK47 milled receivers that fit the modern AKM stamped receiver (milled receivers are thicker than stamped).
Why would the Russians put another production line just to add 4 or 5 hundredths of an inch to >1% of their axis pin production?
On the stamped receiver the extra thickness is inside (the crows feet) like the old Global/ERT&D 1.6 receivers. On the Saiga 12 it's outside. Why don't you just go compare the two, then come back and tell us your findings?
You know, if He wasn't trying to be such a smart ass all the time, He wouldn't look so foolish when He's wrong.
I don't know him but We have some mutual friends who say He's not a bad guy, but all his replies always smack of the same thing no matter which forum he is on.
Now the only question is, is he going to man up and come back to this thread with his findings, or is he off in search of his elusive unicorn?
Never met the man. Overall, I like him in spite of a sometimes abrasive feeling I get. :oldcoot1:
let me offer my non expert unsolicited opinion maybe the russians had two fcg pin lines one for milled and one for stamped. could it be?
how is it a taxi driver from texas becomes such an expert on the ak47
