Nope 4th you cant do that. :nono:
Had too put the damn things in the sun and spray febreeze on the originals.
I sit here everyday and sip the devils brew with retired L.O.s.
But if they give me an attitude they are gonna get one back.
I will probably be waiting until hell freezes over before I get my stamp now.
Maybe I should not have sent that Dunkin Doughnuts gift certificate. Geez. Dont they have any sense of humor. :)
No sense of humor at the ATF?
I must disagree.
Remember these are the folks that declared that a shoestring is a machine gun.
A sick, twisted, mis-placed sense of humor maybe, but they have one. (sort of)
I just got a form 1 back after 9 weeks. Must be that good living.
I gotta stop drinking when I fill out the damn paperwork.
What the hell. Where it says "State your name." I put. "State your name." just like they asked.
They didnt think that was very funny. Jerks. :)
O.K. stamp came in yesterday.. So that would be about 120 days..
Did the same thing Bluejack did. Sent the copy in instead of the original. Wait I did that last time also.
Ah what the hell I finally got it. Now two more receivers down too ProjectGuns for engraving and 2 more stamp apps.
I guess I should fill them out sober this time.
Chip where the hell did you get that soap dispenser. That is funny as hell.
Is there any rhyme or reason to how quickly they do them, or is it just luck of the draw?
Dot the I and cross the T or it is coming back too you. My first one was with the help of ProjectGuns and it was only abut 6 weeks or so. They are a class III dealer which helped.
Second one I went it on my own.
- Did not put "The" my name trust on, came back.
- Mailed again. Sent copy instead of original, came back. :bangin: My bad.
- Mailed again. Came back in about 2 weeks. With stamp.. 120 days total.
The more info regarding yourself, I do believe helps. I sent copy of my drivers license, my trust, my Concealed weapon permit.
But they will scrutinize for any any mistake on the app.
I do feel the ATF is not in too much of a rush too issue these. I do not feel they have put much of their budget into hiring people, too get NFA weapons too us.
So when filling out the paperwork. Double check every thing you have put on the app.
Like Chips. Done properly, a couple of months is not unreasonable.
I really feel in the not too distant future. We may see an end too the issuing of new stamps. Or an increase in price.
$200 is not a lot of money, in today's inflated world.
With AR receivers at a very low price. If I have spare change. Which is running out quickly. Remember. You dont have too put an upper on it when you get the stamp.
Your just authorizing that receiver for a future shorty weapon.
Putting $200 plus cost of reciever into a stamp. Just makes more sense too me, from an investment perspective, than putting the money in a savings account at .0001% interest.
Time will tell I dont really know.
I had one come back once when they couldn't read the CLEO signature!
What fun it is dealing with them. :bangin:
