What you’ll see in the rebellion

WRITTEN BY: BOB - DEC• 28•12

Let me explain, gun grabbers, how your confiscatory fantasy plays out. Let us imagine for a moment that a sweeping gun control bill similar to the one currently suggested is passed by the House and Senate, and signed into law by a contemptuous President.

Perhaps 50-100 million firearms currently owned by law-abiding citizens will become contraband with the stroke of a pen. Citizens will either register their firearms, or turn them in to agents of the federal government, or risk becoming criminals themselves. Faced with this choice, millions will indeed register their arms. Perhaps as many will claim they’ve sold their arms, or had them stolen. Suppose that as many as 200-250 million weapons of other types will go unregistered.

Tens of millions of Americans will refuse to comply with an order that is clearly a violation of the explicit intent of the Second Amendment. Among the most ardent opposing these measures will be military veterans, active duty servicemen, and local law enforcement officers. Many of these individuals will refuse to carry out what they view as Constitutionally illegal orders. Perhaps 40-50 million citizens will view such a law as treason. Perhaps ten percent of those, 4-5 million, would support a rebellion in some way, and maybe 40,000-100,000 Americans will form small independently-functioning active resistance cells, or become lone-wolves.

They will be leaderless, stateless, difficult to track, and considering the number of military veterans that would likely be among their number, extremely skilled at sabotage, assassination, and ambush.

After a number of carefully-planned, highly-publicized, and successful raids by the government, one or more will invariably end “badly.” Whether innocents are gunned down, a city block is burned to ash, or especially fierce resistance leads to a disastrously failed raid doesn’t particularly matter. What matters is that when illusion of the government’s invincibility and infallibility is broken, the hunters will become the hunted.

Unnamed citizens and federal agents will be the first to die, and they will die by the dozens and maybe hundreds, but famous politicians will soon join them in a spate of revenge killings, many of which will go unsolved.

Ironically, while the gun grab was intended to keep citizens from preserving their liberties with medium-powered weapons, it completely ignored the longer-ranged rifles perfect for shooting at ranges far beyond what a security detail can protect, and suppressed .22LR weapons proven deadly in urban sniping in Europe and Asia.

While the Secret Service will be able to protect the President in the White House, he will not dare leave his gilded cage except in carefully controlled circumstances. Even then he will be forced to move like a criminal. He will never be seen outdoors in public again. Not in this country.

The 535 members of the House and Senate in both parties that allowed such a law to pass would largely be on their own; the Secret Service is too small to protect all of them and their families, the Capitol Police too unskilled, and competent private security not particularly interested in working against their own best interests at any price. The elites will be steadily whittled down, and if they can not be reached directly, the targets will become their staffers, spouses, children, and grandchildren. Grandstanding media figures loyal to the regime would die in droves, executed as enemies of the Republic.

You can expect congressional staffs to disintegrate with just a few shootings, and expect elected officials themselves to resign well before a quarter of their number are eliminated, leaving us with a boxed-in executive, his cabinet loyalists trapped in the same win, die, or flee the country circumstance, military regime loyalists, and whatever State Governors who desire to risk their necks as well.

Here, the President will doubtlessly order the activation of National Guard units and the regular military to impose martial law, setting the largest and most powerful military in the world against its own people. Unfortunately, the tighter the President clinches his tyrannical fist, the more rebels he makes.

Military commands and federal agencies will be whittled down as servicemen and agents will desert or defect. Some may leave as individuals, others may join the Rebellion in squad and larger-sized units with all their weapons, tactics, skills, and insider intelligence. The regime will be unable to trust its own people, and because they cannot trust them, they will lose more in a vicious cycle of collapse.

Some of these defectors will be true “operators,” with the skills and background to turn ragtag militia cells into the kind of forces that decimate loyalist troops, allowing them no rest and no respite, striking them when they are away from their most potent weapons. Military vehicles are formidable, but they are thirsty beasts, in terms of fuel, ammo, time, and maintenance. Tanks and bombers are formidable only when they have gas, guns, and can be maintained. In a war without a front, logistics are incredibly easy to destroy, and mechanics and supply clerks are not particularly adept at defending themselves.

Eventually, the government will turn upon itself. The President will be captured or perhaps killed by his own protectors. A dictatorship will form in the vacuum.

If we’re lucky, the United States of America, or whatever amalgam results, will again try to rebuild. If we’re very lucky, the victors will reinstate the Constitution as the law of the land. Just as likely though, we’ll face fractious civil wars fought over issues we’ve not begun to fathom, and a much diminished state or states will result, perhaps guided by foreign interests.

It will not be pretty. There will be no “winners,” and perhaps hundreds of thousands to millions of dead.

Yet, this is the future we face if the power-mad among us are not soundly defeated at the ballot box before they affect more “change” than we, the People, are willing to surrender to would-be tyrants.

Black Blade: I can see it happening. The country is so divided now that there's no way we can live together in peace any longer. The left has made it clear that they have no intention of "live and let live" in mind. They want a totalitarian state and that is unacceptable.

The Next American Civil War

The Next American Civil War

“Tyrants preserve themselves by sowing fear and mistrust among the citizens by means of spies, by distracting them with foreign wars, by eliminating men of spirit who might lead a revolution, by humbling the people, and making them incapable of decisive action…” ... Aristotle
You’d think ole “Ari” might have been peering through some sort of cosmic window into modern day America some 2300 years ago with comments such as those above.

There's another way to look at it, as well. One can grudgingly admit that the Greeks, of 2300 years ago, were smarter than modern Americans. In my estimation—you’d be right. So, I tend to go with the latter explanation.
See, America is building a head of steam preparing to go to war with itself a second time at this very moment. This is not unusual—not in America. We have already had two revolutions. You may recall the American Revolution against Great Britain and the second—the War for Southern Independence, often erroneously referred to as the American Civil War, or the War Between the States.

Tensions are running high all across the country as citizens are rushing to arm themselves with the closest thing resembling combat weaponry they can possibly find. Ammunition of all calibers is disappearing from the shelves of gun shops and back orders at the manufacturing plants are piled high.
Americans are preparing to dig-in. In other words they are preparing for a fight. They are preparing for the day when the words run out, as they surely will. They will then have no other alternative than to turn—as their forefathers have done since the country was founded—to the gun.

Look. Nobody really knows how many guns are in the hands of private citizens in America. Many have multiple weapons. A few are even registered, but, my guess is—the vast majority are not registered anywhere for exactly the reason Americans feel they are being driven, herded, as it were, to armed resistance. Of the weapons known to be in the hands of private civilian Americans there are enough, according to some reports, to arm every man woman and child in America today—well over three hundred million.

That’s a lot of guns, but not nearly as many as there will be in 2013. Manufacturers are finding it impossible to keep up with demand for their guns.

The old expression: “Fools rush in” is as apropos a word, or phrase, as I can conjure to describe the actions of the so-called “gun grabbers” in America in recent days. Their propagandists and boosters in the press and the Mainstream Media added to the mental light weights already liberally salted throughout the US Congress and White House who are mindlessly fanning the flames of a conflagration that threatens to consume the country in another American war over the rights guaranteed by the US Constitution—including the Bill of Rights. These are rights sacred to Americans. These are the rights for which they have been willing to valiantly lay down their lives to protect since the birth of the nation. They are no less ready to put their lives on the line once again. I do not think our current “masters” fully understand that.

Look. Those who would disarm America seem oblivious to the buzz saw into which they are mindlessly running. Their naivete is monumental, off the scale. When describing weapons they want banned, their description of such weapons makes it clear they haven’t the foggiest notion what they are talking about. It is also clear they are operating from pure emotion with no reason mixed in. They often describe weapons they want banned. They don’t seem to know that those weapons have already been banned since the 1930s in America. They use the term “assault weapon” when there is actually no such weapon, only a political term to describe a weapon that is, well, scary looking.

In their ignorance, they cannot grasp that even if a gun ban were successful, a black market in guns and ammunition will spring up, almost overnight, and will make Prohibition resemble a Sunday school picnic. Gun owners and those familiar with guns know, already, that guns are fairly simple to make, many with off the shelf, readily available, parts.

The very first firefight between government agents and American private citizens will be the ignition point of an all consuming maelstrom that will inundate the nation and render null and void any chance that America might reconstitute itself into its former image afterwards.

To the folks on the left, the gun grabbers, if there is any doubt in your minds that Americans will defend their constitutional rights to the death, simply drive across the Lincoln Bridge and take a long look at row after row of white grave markers at Arlington National Cemetery. As you gaze upon that place of honor, remember, we are the sons, grandsons, and great-grand sons of the men lying there. We are no less inspired than they to defend the constitution against all enemies—domestic and foreign.

For those of you who purportedly serve the public in your position within the Congress, understand that we are taking careful note of your maneuvering to deny us our constitutional rights and we will be working tirelessly to see that your political career is ended when next you stand for election. That is a promise.

The idiots in the Mainstream Media still do not understand that freedom of the press , freedom of speech, is only viable so long as the right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the Second Amendment. The job of the press is inextricably linked to the armed citizen. If the armed American goes, so does the independent, non-state-controlled press. Freedom of the press, freedom of speech, will disappear.

It is such a simple thing—when thought through. But that’s the problem. They aren’t thinking. They are reacting out of raw emotion—certainly NOT reason. It is their handlers, however, who ARE reasoning. They reason, and rightfully so, that they cannot accomplish their agenda as long as the American citizen is armed. And so the useful idiots of the Mainstream Media are trotted out to happily make fools of themselves in service to the political left, which will grind them into so much dust once their goals are realized.

It is such idiocy as this that brings men to grapple at each other’s throat.
And here we are again, preparing to do battle with each other, brother against brother, over an issue that was settled two and a half centuries ago.

At first glance it appears to be lunacy of the highest order—and yet—here we are on the cusp of violence to defend something the political left, an authoritarian cabal itself, cannot abide, AT ALL: personal freedom, individual freedom.

Remember that Aristotle said: “Tyrants preserve themselves by ... by eliminating men of spirit who might lead a revolution, by humbling the people, and making them incapable of decisive action… .” Could this be why over a dozen of the US’s highest military officers have been hounded from service in recent months? Is it why this financial crises has dragged on and on ... to keep us humble and incapable of decisive action?

And now they intend to disarm us.

Look. There is so much pent-up anger in America today that if this argument over gun control ever gets beyond the talking stage it is reasonable to believe there will be violence on a scale not seen since the 1860’s in this country.

I would ask the political left if they understand that this is only a temporary argument over gun control? Do they understand it will quickly become an argument over whether or not the country continues to exist as a single fifty state entity or breaks up into separate countries? I don’t think they do. Indeed, I don’t think most Americans understand that once this fight begins, in earnest, there will be no turning back and when it is ended—there will be no going back, either.

I don’t want a war in my homeland, either. But, dear reader, THIS is exactly how they begin.

The Next American Civil War

And anyone openly calling for rebellion on the internet is either a fool, because they can be tracked unbelievably easily, or a plant sent to agitate the masses.

#5 ·
Or, just speaking their mind in honest terms, and caring little for the consequences. Kinda like Jefferson, Hamilton, Burr, Washington, Franklin......

This is an instance where I do not think you are thinking correctly (honestly, truthfully, with clarity).

Not trying to be a Dick. Just wanting you to move 45 degrees in any direction, and look again.

Actually, 300,000,000 people screaming that they will not tolerate an UN-Constitution tyrannical government has quite a bit of influence over future political ventures.

It sort of has the sweet taste of the principles that this Nation was founded upon.

LIBERTY

It is healthy for a government to fear it's people.

#11 ·
The problem is you will NEVER get 300,000,000 million people to support your side, no matter how right it may be. A third MAY support you, a third may try to remain neutral, and a third will be against you. And of the third that support you probably 1/2 to 3/4 of that will lose their stomach for the revolution when they see their first taste of battle.

hell i just saw bill moyers on TV spouting leftist gun-control and other obamma leftist ideals.

and i was thinking--that is OUR tax dollars funding his attack on out liberty and freedom. our money borrowed from china paying for all the lies on the TV--

damn PBS is nothing more than a propaganda machine as is the rest of the media.

it is looking like the citizens have no voice at all in their own system.

we have a justice department that is now called by many "the in-justice dept".

the gov is handing over expensive weapons to our enemys and opening up the boarder and handing out billions possibly trillions in foreign aid --again to countrys that will likely attack the US or attempt to make us fall. and all with money we don't have to give--

how much of this can the USA stand? were at the brink of economic failure as we speak, were at the brink of a social collapse and at the brink of a governmental failure that will be monumental.

are we to be surfs in our own lands? are we to give all power to the government insider elites?

that is what all this gun control is about the left don't give a damn about guns or crime. their testing the water to see how far they can push this on the US citizens.

if they get what they want-- it won't be long before they want even more. and what they want will be more power over you and they won't stop till they have full control over you.

small concessions is what they will make it seem like --sort of like a boa-constrictor it tightens up a little at a time--till the prey is CRUSHED.

PS this is from an old old lesson-- as a political power weakens its laws and regulations get more severe and intrusive, the same goes for taxes. eventually it will be like the old soviet union or nazi germany -

-you'll need a permit from the government for every trip, you will have to fill out some kind of government paper work asking for permission for everywhere you go and to get anything you'll have to show that your allowed to buy it. you will have to comply with all kinds of costly and pointless regulations, the government at its whim or folly may well let you freeze or go hungry at any time.for any reason or no reason at all. i have seen many places like that--those people wanted to come here to be free!

and it will all be for our own good--they will say. only there be no america to flee too.

Look it is one thing to declare you will stand up for your rights and another entirely to call for armed revolution. Frankly, I hope it never gets to that point because the innocent ones (children, elderly) always pay the highest price in any war.

I know where I stand and I know what I will and what I won't do. It seems to me that all of you that are so worried about big brother would be smarter about announcing on the internet your intentions of taking up arms against the government. Just saying...

#9 ·
No offence, but maybe you should re-think that last. While the children and the elderly are affected, and disproportionately so; they do NOT pay the highest price.

Do some research. This is not a Left or Right. It is a simple statement of facts.

We're now one step closer to America's coming civil war

Snippit:

Far from adding to people’s standard of living, government is the number one cause of poverty in this country. It forces those who depend on its largesse to live hand to mouth, with no time or money to plan for the future. They become unable to fend for themselves---and increasingly resentful of those who can.

When the economy tanks and the government checks have to shrink, their only alternative is to take to the streets. That’s what happening in Argentina, and in Greece; and that’s where the growth of government is taking us here, as this current budget deal increases handouts–and more and more Americans are finding that an unemployment or Social Security disability check is their only life line.

Washington’s Republicans and Democrats alike have become the toll collectors on the road to serfdom.

How far down that road depends on how our private sector rallies in 2013 after two numbing defeats, first on November 7 and then on Capitol Hill this week.

It needs to explain to that 47 percent that when big government wins, we all lose–and that this nation won’t survive if it does.

So no response to the doom scenario portrayed in the videos? If they were supposed to be inspiring I think they failed big time. The rebels all get killed, the leader gets arrested, and civilians get either hauled off or summarily executed. Yep, a regular recruiting poster...

Buchanan warns of ‘revolution’ if government attempts to ban and confiscate firearms [VIDEO]

On this weekend’s broadcast of “The McLaughlin Group,” conservative commentator Pat Buchanan, author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?,” predicted that a revolution will result if President Barack Obama tries to ban and confiscate firearms.

“There are three million ArmaLite rifles — those Bushmaster types out there right now, and people are buying them like hotcakes,” Buchanan said. “Every gun show, the sales are up enormously. Forty-one percent, they were up in December — for last December, which was a record year. … The push is going to come on three things — grandfather in the assault weapons that are here now; to try to outlaw assault weapons, outlaw magazines that carry more than 11 or 12 bullets; and also background checks at gun shows.”

But “The McLaughlin Group” moderator John McLaughlin suggested a law banning assault rifles.

JOHN MCLAUGHLIN: With no Second Amendment, Congress could pass a law, as limited as this: banning assault rifles or as sweeping as prohibiting all private firearm ownership and requiring the surrender of all privately held firearms.

BUCHANAN: There would be a revolution in this country!

MCLAUGHLIN: Baloney! That doesn’t mean you can’t own one, but you have to put it in first and then go try —

BUCHANAN: There are 270 million guns in this country right now, John, and they’re adding to them at a rate of 16 million a year.

if they can get rid of the 2nd, they can get rid of any part of the constitution they please--all they got to do is wait till the time is right and the public can be swayed their way. just like their doing for this assault on the constitution.

eventually we will lose the whole thing. the fact is the reason their chopping away at the 2nd right now is the government has pretty much found ways around all our constitutional protections and were getting down to the second and freedom of speech.

freedom of speech is NEXT on the hit list.

wanna bet we don't have some laws protecting "Islam" up next?

ya need a shotgun if you own a farm --ya never know when some of the orange-hair city slicker liberals may decide to have a romance with the livestock--

that will probably be added to the constitution the right for free sex with the farm animals!

LOL!

Like most folks, I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. I think that too many people think that a Revolution sounds like a romantic notion. They see Hollyweird portrayals and think that it would be an exciting thing to live through. They truly don't get that there is nothing about war that is "fun". It is horrible, ugly, and hard, both physically and mentally. When you hear about all of the horror stories from the Serbian Conflict during the 90's, it really brings it home. Hell, most folks STILL haven't gotten their lives and towns completely back to normal. Multiply that by about 100 counting for our larger land mass and population, and thats what you'd have. It ain't pretty.

Unfortunately that won't stop it from coming though, if both the government and the citizens don't tread very carefully in the next few months. Either side could accidentally set it off.

Plus, while we battle within we expose our weakness to our enemies from outside the US, the Russians, Chinese, North Koreans, and all of the Jihadists from the middle east. We are fools if we believe they will not attempt to use that weakness to their advantage. And let's not forget the UN...who is to say they won't get an army of occupation together and attempt to take control.

Stand up now as a red flag so they can see what they will encounter, or become like the Jews in Europe who thought it would all pass in due time.

They, the policy makers, must understand that there will be grave consequences for
treasonous acts.
