I have been working on a AK74 underfolder for a while. Finally got some good weather to apply and cure the KG GunKote.
Only test fired for function so far in the cold/wet. Hope to get to the shooting area soon.
I took my time fitting and assembling the underfolder fit to trunnion and receiver. It is very snug and feels good. Several assembly/disassembly cycles to get it to lock up tight and not bind the locking lugs. I like the sidefolders but the underfolders are nice too.
Nothing real special., but I wanted one to add to the 74 group>
nice build, what type of kit Bulgy??
love those under folders, I once had a 223 norinco underfolder.
That came out nice
I wish I would have gotten more of the 5.45 cal models when they were around too, only got the Saiga
Looks great Blue!!!! I like the way that turned out.

I almost used an original Bulgy kit & barrel but decided to use the barrel-less and hold onto the original AK(S)74 kits for a while yet.
I purchased the receiver and Polish underfolder assembly with trunnion from an on line seller at a gun site for $135 right around November., so it was a no brainer build from that point.
I always had a plan for a AK74 UF but when NDS was out of receivers I put it on hold.
Though I have cut standard receivers for the folder too.., but when this came up on the WTS with the reinforcing plate etc., I snagged it.., for the build.
Nice! I like the underfolders. Working on another mutt UF now.
I got a old global trades polish under folder i am going to put together next. just getting a little fresh air
Now that is a very nice Rifle! I'll Take 10 in .223, with 25 Mags Each. Can I get those next week? Kinda expecting the EOTWAWKI.....Oh, and 10,000 rounds per rifle of course....You can throw that in just because I'm a nice guy, right?????
Seriously, That is a very nice looking rifle. Please take the time to shoot it at 200 or 300, and post a pic of the target. I do not want to snicker at you or your rifle, I just want to see what it can do in a "normal" shooters' hands.
Looks great, thanks for the pictures.
