ak x25 bolt drawings
good info .
I would think blow back kits would not be that far fetched with ak kits going for $350 an up .
I will be doing a x25 or 9mm blow back some day . its been shelved for long time . I will do a custom bolt .
Thanks for this. Yeah, 9mm seems a bit more affordable for practice use these days-fun too I bet.
So just a question, why would you want to build a dedicated bolt like this(which look like a a lot of machining work) as opposed to making one just using a mod-ed 5.45 bolt like the 9mm builds that AZ-Honkey had posted here a while back..?
Rocster with the cost of AK bolt & carrier going for over a hundred now it might actually be cheaper to make one of these if you got the tools to do it.
Hey, Scott! How's it going buddy?
I used one of these bolts I modified for my first 9mm build. You need to change the depth of the milled pocket for the bolt stop, but it will work.
The "bolt stop" on this EOD bolt is designed for the 7.62x25 round and it's cut too deep for 9mm.
This is a video of it bump firing.
I then designed my own bolt for my 9mm Vityaz.
long time brother. I abandoned my 9mm build. just didn't have the time to mess with it. maybe at some point I will get back to it. your vityaz clone is by far one of the cleanest I've seen. too bad you cant get into a mass production. you would likely sell quite a few.
on a side note. my puck-less saiga 12 failed. I did manage to use the k model gas block without the hassles of closing off old gas ports and drilling new. I even made it work with the oem carrier. it eats walmart bulk like jelly beans.
bigger question. in the image, care to share the left hand thumb safety trick? looks really nice, and factory!
I don't mess with guns much anymore either. I haven't even shot my MSG90A1 sniper rifle since it was made.
I enjoy playing mechanic on my old bikes now.
This is the thread with some of my bikes.
Thanks for the compliment on Vityaz clone
I have been in contact with another company who might start producing it, but nothing final yet.
Puck-less? Didn't even know anything about it? Interesting.
Can I see how you did that gas block with a OEM carrier? I'm just curious.
I've never had a problem with my ported (self cleaning ) gas block either. It also eats that cheap ammo like jelly beans.
Kenny will get you some pix shortly. I will start a thread in the saiga area
