Kind of viral on all the gun forums Coils it is.. Seems to be they raided the place, not for what they were doing wrong. But what they thought their customers "might" be doing wrong. Yah can't do that. Judge said "yah can't do that." He or she is pissed.. Hence the restraint order on the ATF..

WACO and Ruby Ridge is just quieting down, now this. WTF over..
ugh this letter pretty much tells you where this is going & why they moved on this....
its the latest reply from the ATF that ive seen.. if its already posted sorry.
pay VERY close attention to that 2ndt to last paragraph. the one that starts with "as we understand it"
unfortunately for these guys this has been pretty common knowledge in build party circles for a while & if they were doing this ... they are probably hosed.
As I understand it, Ares is the distributer for EP Armory, correct? Is Ares owned by EP? If so, what is their responsibility?
EP is in Bakersfield, Ares is in Oceanside. I think they are 2 separate companies. But I don't know.
they are 2 different companies...
this was executed on them both at the same time. hence the confusion.
how do you think this going to shake out,??????
are they going to send out letters like the atkins accelorater ????
or make house visits??

long term for build party's?
absolutely positively if you own a business of any type dont be having a build party where you let people use your equipment to build a gun.
for private people? as i was told first hand... avoid the CNC issues & make sure everyone does their own work at a build party.. not much of a risk.
to non firearm status receivers? (80%) look for some much tougher rules coming on the AR versions real soon...
but it would be virtually impossible to do a recall on them.. they are just tooo disposable & most people have ruined more of them than they completed.
thats just the opinion of a redneck who's had "visits" & phone calls with the goobs & also just happens to work for an 07/sot... its worth what you paid for it. :-) nothing.
thats what I wanted to know and I value your observations
great minds think alike, youread the situation as I have read it
If the implications in that ATF letter are true I can see why they are pissed. Maybe still *legal* but thats reallllly pushing it being a business etc like dutigaf said.
