    9mm AR15
    20 gauge pump
    CZ-75

Mostly short range work in my hood. However, lots of things to deal with.

For me,,what ever is handy and I can carry the most ammo for is my preference ,,all other discussion aside. You grab what you can, when you can.

If TSHTF, options may be limited and that is where tactics come into play more than any other factor involved. No room for Rambo's in battle, tactics and stealth will get you through more shit than any one particular gun will. Even a good BB gun will kill with proper shot placement, so no particular gun will "turn the tide", depend on your brain, not your ammo supplies or a particular gun. The last thing you want to do is to draw attention to yourself or your position.

Stealth and tactics are a way more important factor than all the guns and ammo in the world combined.

I got out one of my ROMAINIAN TOKAREV pistols last evening. The other one is buried still deep in that gun parts pile.

After cleaning it up a bit, I started thinking it is time to get out and do a bit of practicing with some of these.

    AR15
    10/22
    Glock 19

if i could add a 4th it would be an 870

all use popular and readily available non-unique ammo, spare parts and accessories widely available to fix and/or customize for task specific uses

If the S truly HTF I'm thinking a bit differently. 10/22 takedown with a can. 300 Blackout AAC with a can. 45 ACP SIG P227 with a can.
Pfffft, gotcha. Simple as that. Food or freedom, just a Pfffft is all it takes.

Of what I own... I'd probably reach for the old Stevens .22, the 12ga pump, and one of the Mosins.

The .22 for small game and birds, the Mosin for larger game and defense (I have many rifles, but more 54R on hand than anything else), shotgun for birds and defense.

I think that within a short time, any "meat" that isn't walking around with a gun is going to be birds of some type, because the survivors are going to kill and eat everything from housecats to mice as soon as the supply of Twinkies and beef jerky runs out.
