home built AK-47
I bought a how to tape from AGI,a m90a kit from the net and a80% reciever from cold steel. I was so excited kid at Christmas then I looked at a form from cold steel stating that it is not legal to build a semiauto assault rifle. any ideas?
It cannot have more than 10 imported parts. Check the library for lists of parts.

Under Federal Law it is perfectly legal to build your own rifle as long as it meets the legal requirements all rifles have to. Namely, semi auto only, bbl at least 16" long, overall length at least 26" and if assembled with imported parts you must replace some of them with US made ones to be 922(r) compliant.
No Hope For Me
You would be better off following directions here, than the AGI video. at least as far as the riviting procedures. If it is the same video I have he bucks the rivets off the installed barrel with a rivet set( something that will work but not great) better to intall rivets before installing the barrel. The blueprints for the jig are pretty good in the AGI video and are what I used to make mine.
