first off, AWESOME BUILD !!
I'm a little late in the building game, as I have just now (well, last night) found this mentioned somewhere, either 1919a4 or militaryfirearms, and just had to come back and see it.
this is incredible to say the least, and in my favorite caliber.
I have only skimmed the surface of the various versions but am COMPLETELY hooked.
are the plans still available for purchase ? if so could you e-mail me the info, cost, address, etc ?
It'll be a future project, but I can start gathering parts now for it. like most everybody, the list of projects keeps growing by leaps and bounds, and the cash flow keeps getting smaller and smaller, BUT, I keep trying.
OK, I'm babbling now, I'll stop here and simply say "THANK YOU" for an awesome idea and build.

I know this thread has slowed down a bit, but I've been working my my MG47es for about 3 years now...I'm not a machinist and time is not my friend, but I got all the parts cheap and I'm definitely learning as I go. It's been a hard project, but I'm finally machining the internals. Sharpshooter, has anyone ever used an MG53 trigger assembly for one pf your builds? Just trying to figure out how to make it work.

The MG53 fires from open bolt with no disconnector and has a fixed firing pin. That is not legal to build anything that way.

True, but many people have modified the M53/Mg42 grips for semi auto weapons. There's one that uses a FAL trigger group and one that uses a AR15 trigger group as talked about earlier in the thread.

I stand corrected. I have a semi-MG53 that uses an AR15 FCG. Forgot I even did that, damn, I must be getting old.

In re-guards to the controversity (spelling?)that happened on another popular web site, plans and tutorial are still available here and may soon be available at the other site in the future.
