    Default Up all night...Silenced AK

Got my Form 1 paperwork in yesterday so Ive been up all night machining and welding. Off to the engraver right now but heres the fruit of my labor. This is a 12 inch long stainless steel silencer with 5 K baffles , two parabolic baffles and a 2 point mount. Everything is 304 stainless and the rifle and can are finished in epoxy powder coat.

Don't know yet. I'm going shooting this weekend and I'll let you know. Shoudnt be stupid quiet with milspec ammo but the muzzle blast will be all but gone. The bullets sonic crack will probably sound about like a 22 short fired from a pistol. with subsonic ammo it will be stupid quiet. In any case it will be hearing safe.

No I only took one baffle pic . Theres just five of those stacked up and welded together so the lower hole lines up with the relief on top. Then I pressed it all in the tube and welded it together. Pretty much a scaled up copy of my gem-tech outback 2

Video! Shoot some Video! Cool that your form 1 was approved.
Freedom is not free. Some will perish to preserve it for the many. Just as our Forefathers did before us, we must take up the battle and not waver. Victory is our only option.

Its not really a question of IF they get approved. If all the paperwork is there they pretty much dont have a choice. Its more WHEN they get approved that can be nerve wracking . It was 11 weeks on that one and that was a trust form 1 silencer that didnt need a background check or any of that. The ATF is seriously backlogged.

A shame that many locales don't allow "silenced" firearms for hunting. But, off to the range and no need for earmuffs, sweet!

A great looking build, but we all knew it would be so.
