    Default My Saiga 12

I thought I'd share some pictures of my converted Saiga 12.

It has a K-VAR buttstock and US pistol grip.
All extra holes were filled by TIG welding small dimples of sheetmetal in place.
Has a Red Star Arms adjustable trigger group.
Trigger guard is a cut down Hungarian piece with a custom selector stop.
Scope is a PK-AS-S that I bought from Tantal.
Sling is a blue/gray DDR AK-74 sling that I simmered in black RIT dye.

I like that scope - makes infinitely more sense to have that configuration vs. a typical red dot. Very nice!

Nice conversion, I like the why you did the pics too.

Does anyone know if the PK-AS-S scopes are still available anywhere?

Probably via Tantal, or Freedom Optics... ??? I need to get one too!

ETA - Freedom has only the weaver-style mount currently listed. Also, you can get them from Russia ? here:

Rifle scopes, NAYVIS Night vision sights. Retail prices. - $350!!!

Thank you HCP, if I can't find one with an AK style bracket I think I'll get one of the weaver mount ones.
