Default What todo with a rpk trunnion

So Going through my parts bin I found a rpk trunnion that was made in 1986. I was born 1986 so I want todo a special build with this.

I currently own 3 aks in 556 . A Bulgarian 74 parts kit build. a Groza clone built using a Bulgarian kit . Last a yugo m85 I built with a side folder.
I also own a normal psl I built and a 8.5 inch I'm finishing up.

I kinda don't want to do it 7.62, since I don't own any thing in it. I plan to make most of the parts minus the bolt carrier/bolt .

What caliber would you guys do?
Could I use it to make a 556 gun?

I was thinking Grendel if I did some thing like that , since that would work with the bolt .

    I was thinking if I couldn't do it in 556 .
    I know k var sells 556 trunnions in 22mm and 23mm so I wasn't sure if I could use it for 556.

If I wanted to build this in 556

6.5 creedmoor is based on 308 case. same length. 308 mags should work with it.

Never heard of him or it.

    I called robertforbus.com today.
He told me if I wanted to build it in 556 to just get a 556 bolt that works with the 47 carrier or a galil bolt And swap the bullet guide to the 556 .
If I use a 74 bolt and carrier I would need to plug the hole and move it slightly back and use a 74 guide.

Looking at photos I can't tell the difference between the 47 and 556 bullet guides.

They did and my subscription runs out the first of 2018. Trying to adapt to the changing times. Thanks for tossing that in.

What to do with a RPK trunion? I may be a little biased, but I vote this -> Krinkenstein build
